Job Description
Inventory Planner
Tasks:
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
Lead forecast and inventory planning meetings with business stakeholders, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals (cover targets, inventory turnover, and fill rates).
Monitor demand forecasts and ensure accurate reporting and analysis of inventory.
Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring quantities that appear in the system are accurate and match up to the actual stock count.
Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers.
Optimize inventory control procedures to minimize costs and ensure ready availability of products to customers.
Analyze different suppliers to obtain the best cost-effective deals.
Work closely with the sales team to manage changes in customer demand and preference.
Develop strategies to optimize inventory control procedures.
Report to upper management on stock levels, issues, etc.
Inventory Planner
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an inventory planner or similar role.
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP).
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
An analytical mind with strong mathematical skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Reliable and trustworthy.
BSc/BA in business administration. logistics or relevant field; relevant qualifications (e.g., CPIM) will be a plus.
In-depth understanding of the supply chain and its components.
