Job Description
Payroll Specialist
Tasks:
Process and manage the company's payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
Create and maintain employees' payroll records; calculate wages and applicable deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records.
Enter payroll information into the central system for processing.
Issue employees’ checks and earnings summaries.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll queries.
Prepare payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
Coordinate with HR and finance teams to ensure correct employee data.
Keep up-to-date with the latest tax procedures and changes in labor legislation.
Payroll Specialist
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Officer.
Good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g., Payforce, Kronos, SAP).
Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
Strong numerical aptitude and detail orientation.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
Good understanding of data collection, analysis, and management.
