Payroll Specialist

Tasks:

  • Process and manage the company's payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create and maintain employees' payroll records; calculate wages and applicable deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records.
  • Enter payroll information into the central system for processing.
  • Issue employees’ checks and earnings summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll queries.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams to ensure correct employee data.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest tax procedures and changes in labor legislation.

Payroll Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Officer.
  • Good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g., Payforce, Kronos, SAP).
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and detail orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Good understanding of data collection, analysis, and management.
