Job Description
Procurement Specialist
Tasks:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of contracts.
Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the company.
Develop and manage the procurement department including setting targets and monitoring performance.
Carry out supplier performance review to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.
Ensure that all purchasing activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of the overall organization.
Manage and develop the supply chain to ensure it meets the company's short and long-term needs.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation on all solicitations, responses, purchases, contracts, correspondence, and related follow up.
Explore alternative sourcing strategies to ensure sustainable resources.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
Procurement Specialist
Qualifications:
Proven working experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer.
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market.
Talent in negotiations and networking.
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
Strong leadership capabilities and organizational skills.
Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
Proficient in the use of MS Office and purchasing software.
Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or another relevant field.
Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
