Vendor Management

Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors while negotiating contracts to secure the most advantageous terms.
  • Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure vendors comply with the terms and conditions of the agreement and to determine the need for changes.
  • Manage vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met, and service level agreements (SLAs) are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and convey them to vendors.
  • Implement and manage a vendor onboarding process that includes performing due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Regularly conduct business reviews with vendors to measure performance against goals and discuss improvement strategies.
  • Handle the end-to-end vendor payment process, including invoicing, discrepancies, and payment queries.
  • Maintain a database of vendor information and manage documentation related to vendor contracts, proposals, and performance evaluations.
  • Work with legal and compliance to ensure all vendor engagements adhere to laws and regulations.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.

Vendor Management

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in vendor management or in a similar role overseeing supplier/vendor relations.
  • Strong understanding of contract negotiation and resource management.
  • Ability to analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with an understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proficient in software related to supply chain management and vendor oversight.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Competence in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements, regulations, and risk management.
  • Adept at working with multiple stakeholders across different levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in procurement, supply chain management, or vendor management is highly advantageous.
